Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering / Manufacturing / Retail
This intermediate Level 3 food safety course can be accredited through the HABC or RSPH.

The Level 3 food safety course is run over 3 days or 20 hours on a modular basis including a 2 hour multiple choice exam.

Level 3 Food Safety Course Profile:
This course is ideal for those working in a supervisory or managerial role. Among those who would benefit are those responsible for quality assurance, buying raw materials, customer complaints investigations or on-the-job training.

Completing the Level 3 food safety course builds on a candidate’s knowledge of food safety, and develops their ability and confidence to manage food safety effectively.

Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will receive a Level 3 Food Safety Certificate and will  be able to:
• Play an active part in monitoring food hygiene standards
• Be involved in training activities, especially on-the-job training
• Be able to carry out hygiene audits
• Encourage good standards of personal hygiene
• Be able to assist in hazard analysis programmes
• Help in the formulation and writing of hygiene policies, instructions and procedures.
