CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering

This course has replaced the Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene

Duration:
3 days or 20 hours on a modular basis including a 2 hour multiple choice exam.

Course Profile:
Designed for people working at a supervisory level. In addition it would benefit anyone who needs a broad understanding of food hygiene as part of their work. Among those who would benefit are those responsible for quality assurance, buying raw materials, customer complaints investigations or on-the-job training. Candidates who complete this qualification successfully will be able to supervise and train in food hygiene, and monitor and audit hygiene standards

Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Play an active part in monitoring food hygiene standards

• Encourage good standards of personal hygiene
• Be able to assist in hazard analysis programmes
• Help in the formulation and writing of hygiene policies, instructions and procedures.
