This Food Safety Level 1 course is an entry level qualification designed for all staff who handle low-risk wrapped or packaged food.
Level 1 Food Safety Course Overview
The half-day Level 1 Food Safety course is ideal for employees who are in a low risk food handling role, e.g. those handling packaged food, bar staff, care workers, waiting staff and kitchen porters.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the importance of food hygiene and the risks, processes and techniques they need to demonstrate in their role to help in the provision of safe food to customers.
The course can be applied across multiple sectors including catering, retail and manufacturing and marine (this course is MCA approved). With in-house training, the delivery of the course is adapted to your exact business type to enhance the relevancy and impact of knowledge gained.
To ensure that all staff are working to the same agreed standards, it is ideal to include the half-day Food Safety Level 1 Course as part of a new staff induction process.
Legal Requirements and Food Safety Training
The law requires that all food handlers need to be trained according to their food handling work activities. Ensuring that all employees in a low-risk food handling role complete a Level 1 Food Safety qualification helps business operators demonstrate due diligence and legal compliance.
