Allergy Aware UKThe Level 2 Food Allergen Awareness and Control in Catering qualification is supported by Allergy UK, who regard it as suitable staff training for catering outlets that wish to apply for their Allergy Aware Scheme.

The 1/2 day course is aimed at food handlers and other staff involved in food preparation and service within the catering industry.

Level 2 Food Allergen Awareness Course Contents

  • Knowledge of symptoms of allergic reaction and intolerances
  • Common food allergens and foods causing intolerance
  • The importance of effectively communicating ingredient information to consumers
  • Ways to minimise risk of cross-contamination
